Does anyone recommend the Dr Bach Flower Remedies?
I was looking at the ‘alternative’ remedies in my local chemist the other day and wondered about the use of Dr bach’s flower rememdies. I have ordered a book to read up on them but in the meantime, wonder whether anyone has any particular experience/advice on using them? Like most people, I have various ailments which I would prefer to treat ‘naturally’ if at all possible – up until now red wine and pilates have been my preferred remedies of choice, but I wonder if I am missing out on something?!
Also, I note that there are pet remedies and I have a dog so wonder whether the remedies could be put to use on her if necesssary!
I’m afraid to say they are an outright scam. They basically work purely on placebo (which is why they can’t work on animals!)
They consist of around 99.9% brandy, with 0.01% flower extract. Basically, eating a daisy would give you more flower extract than you’ll ever going to get from this rubbish! Even worse, you are told to dilute this in water, which makes the amount of active ingredient almost zero. It cannot possibly work.
